Primary School Leadership Speech

Good morning, teachers, students, and friends,

My name is [Name], and today I want to talk about something very special: leadership. You might think being a leader is only for adults or older students, but that’s not true. Anyone can be a leader, including each of us here at our primary school.

Leadership is not about telling people what to do or being the boss. A true leader is someone who is kind, helpful, and sets a good example for others. For example, helping a friend who is struggling with homework or sharing a smile with someone who feels sad—these are all acts of leadership.

As young leaders, we can make a big difference in our school. How? By working together, listening to each other, and showing respect to everyone, whether it’s in the classroom, on the playground, or during sports events. Great leaders are team players who understand that everyone’s ideas and efforts are important.

A good leader is also brave. Sometimes, it takes courage to stand up for what’s right, even when others might not. But when we choose kindness and fairness, we inspire others to do the same.

In our school, leadership is about being the best version of ourselves. It means helping our classmates, following school rules, and making our school a happy and safe place for everyone. Even small actions, like including someone in a game or saying “thank you,” can make a big difference.
