Dear Dr. Park,
I hope you are doing well. I am reaching out to ask if you would be willing to write me
a letter of recommendation for my application to the
MIT Sloan MBA program
(Round 2).
I was fortunate to work with you for two years as a research assistant on the NLP
bias-correction project, and your mentorship has shaped much of how I approach
technical leadership. Sloan asks recommenders to speak to an applicant’s analytical
ability, collaborative style, and growth trajectory — areas where I believe our work
together offers strong examples.
The deadline for submission is
January 15
. I would be happy to send you my latest
resume, draft essays, and a brief summary of key projects we collaborated on to
make this as easy as possible. Letters are submitted directly through Sloan’s portal,
and I can forward the invitation link whenever is convenient.
I completely understand if your schedule makes this difficult. Either way, I am
grateful for everything I learned in your lab.
Warmly,
Maya Chen
