Effective
inventory
management

);
however

a
significant
number
of
such
businesses
continue

manual

spreadsheet

based

.
These
practices
are
prone
to
human
error
,
offer
limited
visibility
into
real
-
time
stock
levels
,
and
frequently
lead
to
overstocking
,
stock
-
outs
,
and
delayed
order
fulfilment
.
This
project
addresses
that
gap
by
designing
and
developing
a
web
-
based
inventory
management
system
that
centralises
stock
data
,
automates
reorder
alerts
,
and
generates
accurate
procurement
and
sales
reports
.
The
system
was
implemented
using
a
modular
client
–
server
architecture
,
with
a
React
-
based
front
end
,
a
Node
.
js
and
Express
back
end
,
and
a
PostgreSQL
database
,
and
it
incorporates
role
-
based
access
control
for
administrators
,
warehouse
staff
,
and
auditors
.
Functional
,
integration
,
and
usability
tests
were
conducted
with
staff
of
a
partner
retail
firm
,
and
the
results
demonstrated
a
measurable
improvement
in
inventory
accuracy
and
a
substantial
reduction
in
the
time
required
to
complete
monthly
stock
reconciliation
.
This
report
documents
the
background
and
motivation
for
the
project
,
the
methodology
followed
,
the
system
design
and
implementation

the
testing

enhancement
.
It
is
