I'm Maya Thompson, and I graduated last May from the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Data Science.
Over the past four years, I've been curious about how people make decisions, and
that curiosity shaped my work experience — as a research intern at a health-tech
startup, I analyzed customer retention patterns to help the product team understand
why users churned, and during a marketing internship at a regional retail brand, I
ran A/B tests on email campaigns that lifted click-through rates by nearly 12%. I
also co-led my school's Psychology Club, where I organized a research showcase
that drew more than 200 students across campus. Now I'm looking for an entry-
level role in people analytics or user research, where I can bring together my
background in behavioral science and my hands-on skills in SQL and Python,
contribute to meaningful projects from day one, and keep growing under the
guidance of an experienced team.
