Growing
up
in
a
family
of
small
business
owners
in
Manchester
,
I
learned
early
that
profit
is
not
the
only
measure
of
success
.
My
parents
'
restaurant
thrived
not
because
of
margins
,
but
because
of
relationships
.
This
insight
drives
my
ambition
to
study
business
administration
at
a
program
that
treats
leadership
as
a
craft
,
not
a
credential
.
I
graduated
from
the
University
of
Edinburgh
in
2022
with
a
First
Class
Honours
degree
in
Economics
.
My
dissertation
examined
how
microfinance
institutions
in
rural
Vietnam
adapted
their
lending
models
during
supply
chain
disruptions
in
2020.
This
research
required
me
to
analyse
financial
statements
from
twelve
cooperatives
,
interview
branch
managers
via
video
calls
,
and
model
risk
scenarios
using
Stata
.
The
experience
taught
me
that
data
is
only
as
valuable
as
the
human
context
surrounding
it
.
I
received
the
Adam
Smith
Prize
for
best
undergraduate
dissertation
in
the
faculty
.
Since
graduating
,
I
have
spent
three
years
at
Deloitte
'
s
Strategy
and
Operations
practice
in
London
.
As
a
Senior
Consultant
,
I
led
a
team
of
four
analysts
on
a
nine
-
month
engagement
for
a
FTSE
250
retailer
undergoing
digital
transformation
.
We
identified
£14
million
in
operational
savings
by
redesigning
their
inventory
forecasting
process
and
implementing
a
cloud
-
based
ERP
module
.
I
presented
our
findings
to
the
CFO
and
board
members
,
translating
technical
jargon
into
commercial
implications
.
This
role
sharpened
my
ability
to
balance
analytical
rigour
with
stakeholder
management
.
Prior
to
this
,
I
completed
a
summer
internship
at
JPMorgan
'
s
asset
management
division
,
where
I
supported
portfolio
managers
in
ESG
screening
for
European
equities
.
Beyond
client
work
,
I
co
-
founded
Deloitte
'
s
internal
sustainability
working
group
,
which
now
includes
over
sixty
consultants
across
three
offices
.
We
successfully
lobbied
for
the
firm
to
adopt
carbon
reporting
for
all
client
travel
and
organised
a
series
of
training
workshops
on
sustainable
supply
chain
metrics
.
At
university
,
I
captained
the
Men
'
s
Basketball
Team
,
leading
us
to
the
BUCS
Northern
Conference
semi
-
finals
in
my
final
year
.
Both
experiences
taught
me
that
leadership
is
fundamentally
about
creating
conditions
for
others
to
perform
at
their
best
.
London
Business
School
'
s
MSc
in
Business
Administration
appeals
to
me
because
of
its
focus
on
entrepreneurial
thinking
within
established
organisations
.
Professor
Helena
Morrissey
'
s
research
on
corporate
governance
aligns
directly
with
my
long
-
term
interest
in
board
-
level
strategy
.
The
school
'
s
location
in
central
London
provides
unparalleled
access
to
the
firms
and
founders
shaping
global
markets
.
I
am
particularly
drawn
to
the
Entrepreneurship
Summer
School
,
where
I
hope
to
develop
a
business
plan
for
a
fintech
venture
focused
on
micro
-
lending
for
freelancers
.
Following
graduation
,
I
aim
to
join
a
top
-
tier
strategy
consultancy
or
corporate
development
team
within
a
technology
firm
.
Within
ten
years
,
I
intend
to
become
a
Chief
Strategy
Officer
or
launch
my
own
venture
capital
fund
specialising
in
sustainable
consumer
brands
.
The
analytical
toolkit
and
network
I
would
build
at
LBS
are
essential
to
reaching
these
goals
.
I
bring
to
this
programme
a
foundation
in
rigorous
analysis
,
a
track
record
of
leading
diverse
teams
,
and
a
clear
sense
of
the
ethical
responsibilities
that
accompany
business
leadership
.
I
am
eager
to
contribute
to
classroom
debates
,
learn
from
peers
with
radically
different
professional
backgrounds
,
and
emerge
as
a
more
reflective
and
capable
1 / 2
leader
.
Thank
you
for
considering
my
application
.
Yours
sincerely
,
