My
fascination
with
hospitality
began
at
the
age
of
fourteen
,
during
a
family
stay
at
a
small
boutique
hotel
in
the
hills
of
Tuscany
.
What
struck
me
was
not
merely
the
beauty
of
the
landscape
,
but
the
seamless
choreography
behind
every
interaction
:
the
precise
timing
of
breakfast
service
,
the
anticipatory
smile
that
appeared
before
a
request
was
made
,
and
the
quiet
efficiency
with
which
a
full
house
was
transformed
each
morning
.
That
early
observation
crystallized
into
a
career
ambition
:
to
master
the
operational
and
strategic
systems
that
allow
exceptional
service
to
feel
effortless
.
Over
the
subsequent
decade
,
my
academic
study
and
professional
practice
in
Barcelona
have
steadily
built
the
foundation
for
advanced
training
at
the
postgraduate
level
.
I
completed
my
Bachelor
of
Arts
in
Business
Administration
at
Universitat
Pompeu
Fabra
in
2024,
graduating
with
upper
second
-
class
honours
and
a
final
-
year
dissertation
on
dynamic
pricing
strategies
in
independent
boutique
hotels
.
My
coursework
in
Service
Operations
Management
and
Consumer
Behaviour
provided
the
theoretical
scaffold
for
understanding
how
supply
chain
logic
,
capacity
management
,
and
psychology
converge
at
the
front
desk
of
a
hotel
.
I
was
particularly
absorbed
by
the
tension
between
revenue
optimization
and
guest
satisfaction
,
a
theme
I
explored
through
a
six
-
month
research
placement
with
the
Barcelona
Hotel
Association
,
where
I
assisted
in
auditing
occupancy
forecasting
models
for
a
cohort
of
thirty
-
two
properties
in
the
Gothic
Quarter
.
My
professional
formation
has
been
equally
deliberate
.
For
eighteen
months
I
served
as
Front
Desk
Supervisor
at
Hotel
Casa
del
Mar
,
a
seventy
-
room
boutique
property
on
the
Barceloneta
waterfront
.
The
role
demanded
that
I
oversee
an
average
of
one
hundred
and
fifty
guest
arrivals
daily
,
manage
a
rotating
team
of
five
receptionists
,
and
resolve
operational
exceptions
in
real
time
.
During
my
tenure
,
I
redesigned
the
pre
-
arrival
communication
workflow
using
the
Opera
PMS
and
Revinate
platforms
,
reducing
check
-
in
friction
and
lifting
our
post
-
stay
satisfaction
score
from
eighty
-
eight
percent
to
ninety
-
four
percent
.
I
also
spent
three
months
on
secondment
to
the
Food
and
Beverage
coordination
office
,
where
I
project
-
managed
a
two
-
hundred
-
person
corporate
conference
from
initial
briefing
to
invoice
reconciliation
.
That
experience
exposed
me
to
the
complex
interdependencies
between
catering
,
housekeeping
,
AV
technical
crews
,
and
external
vendors
,
and
taught
me
that
hospitality
leadership
is
fundamentally
an
exercise
in
stakeholder
alignment
.
Beyond
the
hotel
environment
,
I
have
sought
opportunities
to
test
my
coordination
skills
at
scale
.
In
2023
I
volunteered
as
the
hospitality
suite
coordinator
for
the
Barcelona
Marathon
,
responsible
for
forty
-
two
volunteers
,
twelve
hospitality
tents
,
and
real
-
time
replenishment
of
food
and
medical
supplies
across
a
twenty
-
kilometre
route
.
The
event
reinforced
my
belief
that
rigorous
preparation
and
clear
communication
protocols
can
prevent
most
service
failures
before
they
occur
.
I
also
assisted
in
organizing
a
fundraising
gala
at
Fundacio
Joan
Miro
,
where
I
managed
guest
-
list
logistics
and
sponsor
seating
for
two
hundred
and
twenty
attendees
.
These
experiences
have
sharpened
my
ability
to
remain
composed
under
pressure
,
to
adapt
when
suppliers
default
,
and
to
maintain
a
service
mindset
even
when
operational
demands
are
extreme
.
2 / 3
Fluency
in
Spanish
,
Catalan
,
and
English
,
coupled
with
conversational
French
,
has
allowed
me
to
build
rapport
with
guests
and
colleagues
from
diverse
backgrounds
.
I
am
comfortable
navigating
cultural
nuances
in
service
expectations
,
whether
explaining
a
tasting
menu
to
a
Japanese
business
delegation
or
calming
a
frustrated
guest
whose
luggage
has
been
delayed
.
I
believe
that
language
is
not
simply
a
transactional
tool
in
hospitality
,
but
a
signal
of
respect
that
transforms
a
commercial
interaction
into
a
memorable
relationship
.
My
immediate
objective
is
to
deepen
my
strategic
competence
through
your
MSc
programme
,
specifically
in
the
areas
of
sustainable
hospitality
development
,
digital
transformation
,
and
global
asset
management
.
Long
term
,
I
intend
to
return
to
Latin
America
,
where
I
was
born
,
to
lead
operational
strategy
for
a
luxury
hotel
group
that
prioritizes
both
environmental
stewardship
and
community
employment
.
I
am
drawn
to
a
programme
that
treats
hospitality
not
as
a
narrow
technical
discipline
,
but
as
a
lens
through
which
to
examine
economics
,
anthropology
,
and
environmental
responsibility
.
I
am
ready
to
contribute
the
discipline
,
curiosity
,
and
front
-
line
perspective
I
have
developed
,
and
to
learn
from
a
cohort
that
shares
my
conviction
that
outstanding
hospitality
is
always
,
at
its
core
,
a
human
enterprise
.
