An estimated invoice should not be confused as a request for payment (actual invoice) as it may include the type, cost of products and other relevant details such as tax and shipping charges incurred, but is an estimate of the same. Here are 5+ Estimate Invoice Examples and Templates.

An estimated invoice doesn’t necessarily have to be full of complexities such as terms and conditions etc; it can also be a simple estimated invoice like this sample invoice provided in this template. A simple invoice has the company’s name, address, phone number, email and the customer’s details such as an address, phone number, etc., to indicate the seller and buyer respectively. In the body of the invoice, the products are listed according to their identification number and description followed by the quantity and unit price of each product. Make a subtotal of this and that is the total estimated cost the customer has to bear; the total cost is inclusive of any tax or shipping or handling that has taken place, the cost of which the customer has to bear. As expected, the invoice number and date are to be left blank intentionally, so that it remains as an estimate invoice and does not become an actual invoice, thus being ineligible for the accounting process.
