Dear Ms. Chen,
I want to thank you for the mentorship you have given me over the past two years. From
our first conversation about navigating difficult stakeholder feedback to the evenings you
spent reviewing drafts of my promotion packet, you have always given your time
generously — and I have taken something away from every meeting.
What I am most grateful for, though, is the way you mentored. You rarely gave me answers;
instead you asked the questions that helped me see my options clearly, and then trusted me
to make the call. That trust gave me the confidence to take on work I would otherwise have
shied away from.
You have shaped not only how I work but the kind of colleague I want to become. Thank
you for being generous with your time, honest in your feedback, and steady in your
encouragement. It has made a real difference in my career.
With sincere gratitude,
Daniel Kim
