Portfolio (GMPP)
The GMPP comprises the most significant, complex, and high-value projects in the UK government.
These projects are defined by their level of risk, strategic importance, and financial investment. As of
2025/26, the portfolio includes projects across four primary categories: Infrastructure and
Construction, Transformation and Service Delivery, Military Capability, and ICT Modernization.
Strategic Alignment
This category is aligned with the National Infrastructure Strategy and the government's digital
transformation roadmap, ensuring that every pound spent drives national growth and resilience.
Key Portfolio Objective:
To increase the proportion of projects successfully reaching 'Gate
5' (Operations Review) within the original budget profile.
