ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Sofia — a sophomore at Columbia University studying Computer Science with a concentration
in Data Science. I grew up in Ridgewood, New Jersey, the daughter of a nurse and a high-school math
teacher, which probably explains why I care about building tools that make complicated systems feel
more human.
My main interest right now is civic technology. Last summer I worked as a research assistant at the
Columbia Digital Cities Lab, where I analyzed public-service response data to spot inequities across
New York neighborhoods. I'm now looking for a software engineering internship for Summer 2026 —
ideally where machine learning meets social impact.
