it

it

we
leave

I
write
essays

short
fiction
that
circle
the
spaces
between
things
:
land
and
water
,
a
first
language
and
a
second
,
the
stories
families
tell
and
the
ones
they
leave
out
.

appeared

Atlantic

Guernica
,
ZYZZYVA
,
and
Electric
Literature
.
My
first
book
,
The
Quiet
Map
:
Essays
on
Place
and
Belonging
,
was
published
by
Catapult
in
2024.
I
teach
occasional
writing
workshops
in
the
Bay
Area
and
am
at
work
on
a
novel
set
in
the
coastal
town
where
I
grew
up
