I’m the kind of teacher who still gets a little thrill when the supply closet opens
in August. I’ve been teaching for twelve years — the last eight in fourth grade
here at Maplewood — and my classroom runs on three things:
curiosity,
kindness, and a healthy amount of laughter
. I believe every child walks in
with a story and a strength, and my job is to make sure both are heard. When
I’m not at school, you’ll usually find me with a stack of picture books, hiking
the trails past town with my two dogs, or cheering far too loudly from the
sidelines of my kids’ soccer games. I’m so glad your child is in my class this
year — thank you for trusting me with them.
