I'm Daniel Okafor, founder and CEO of
Fieldnote
, a mobile-first workflow
platform that helps construction crews track daily progress, safety check-ins,
and photo documentation from the field. I spent six years as a project
engineer on commercial job sites before writing a single line of code, and I
started Fieldnote in 2019 out of a very simple frustration: foremen were
running million-dollar projects from spiral notebooks and group texts. Today
the platform is used by 1,400+ crews across 12 countries, and we've helped
teams cut their weekly reporting time from four hours to under twenty
minutes. I still visit active job sites at least once a month to watch how our
customers actually work — it's the best product research there is, and it
reminds me every time why I started this company.
