5. CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK & AREAS FOR GROWTH
While Rebecca is an outstanding executor and analyst, there are two key areas for development as she moves
toward a Lead Business Analyst role:
Pushing Back on Scope Creep:
Rebecca has a strong desire to satisfy business stakeholders, which
occasionally leads her to accept mid-sprint scope changes. She must become more comfortable firmly pushing
back on undocumented feature requests and enforcing the formal change-request process.
Strategic Roadmap Planning:
Currently, Rebecca excels at tactical execution within active projects. I
encourage her to take a more proactive role in strategic quarterly roadmap planning, helping the product owners
prioritize initiatives based on projected ROI rather than just reacting to business demands.
6. FUTURE GOALS & DEVELOPMENT PLAN (FY2026)
Goal 1 (Strategic Execution):
Serve as the primary Lead BA for the upcoming Q2 CRM integration project,
owning the end-to-end requirements lifecycle from initial stakeholder interviews through final UAT sign-off.
Goal 2 (Professional Certification):
Complete the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
certification by the end of Q3 2026 to further solidify industry best practices.
Goal 3 (Mentorship):
Take on formal mentorship of one Junior Business Analyst, conducting bi-weekly
coaching sessions on process mapping and user story documentation.
Goal 4 (Process Governance):
Establish and document a standardized "Requirements Intake Framework"
for the operations division to properly triage and prioritize ad-hoc reporting requests by Q1 2026.
