My work explores the relationship between images, words, and the ways in which stories are
created and understood. I am interested in the power of visual language to communicate ideas
beyond traditional narratives, using illustration as a space where imagination, memory, and
interpretation can come together. Through books, prints, and graphic compositions, I create
visual worlds that encourage curiosity and invite viewers to discover multiple meanings.
The process of making is deeply connected to drawing, printmaking, and experimentation. I use
carefully constructed shapes, textures, and colours to build images that feel both familiar and
mysterious. Rather than simply illustrating a fixed story, I create visual sequences that allow
images to suggest their own connections, encouraging viewers to participate in the act of
storytelling and interpretation.
My practice is inspired by the relationship between memory and imagination. I am fascinated by
how images from childhood, everyday experiences, and collective visual culture can transform
into new narratives. Through simplified forms, symbolic characters, and unexpected
combinations, I explore how ordinary subjects can become gateways to new ways of seeing and
understanding the world.
Colour and composition are essential elements within my visual language. I carefully balance
shapes, patterns, and limited palettes to create harmony, rhythm, and emotional depth. Drawing
from traditions of graphic design, illustration, and print culture, I create images that are visually
direct while leaving space for ambiguity and personal interpretation.
Books and sequential images play an important role in my practice. I see the picture book as a
unique artistic form where pacing, silence, repetition, and visual relationships create meaning
over time. Each page becomes part of a larger visual journey, allowing readers to explore
connections between images, ideas, and emotions.
Ultimately, my practice is an exploration of storytelling through visual imagination. Through
illustration, printmaking, and graphic experimentation, I aim to create works that celebrate
curiosity, play, and the endless possibilities of images. My work invites viewers to slow down,
observe carefully, and rediscover the magic hidden within everyday experiences.
