For those of you I haven’t yet met, I’m Sarah Mitchell, and I have the honour of watching these two
promise their lives to each other tonight.
People say a marriage is built on the great days — the day you met, the day you proposed, today. But if

closely, the truth is quieter. It’s built on ordinary days. The way she finishes
his sentences before he can. The way he reaches for her hand in a crowded room without looking. The
way their laughter still finds each other across a table full of friends.
Love that lives in the ordinary is the love that lasts. And today they have chosen each other — not for one
perfect moment, but for all the quiet ones that follow. There is nothing in the world more worth
celebrating than that.
