What is a Sworn Statement?

A Sworn Statement is also called a Sworn Declaration that is written in a document form containing facts that are necessary in legal proceedings. This is seldom compared to an affidavit but the difference is that a sworn statement does not need to be witnessed or signed by a certain public official. This has paragraphs that contain the signature of the person who made the statement, thus making a stand that all the claims presented were true.

Importance of a Sworn Statement

A sworn statement is important in order to practice fairness and accurate information that is related to a specific case at legal proceedings.

Contents of a Sworn Statement

1.       Name, age, occupation and address of the declarant
2.   Detailed description about the incident. This refers to the time, date, witnesses, location of the incident and any statement from someone during the incident.
3.   A statement that acknowledges that the contents were all true
4.   Signature of the declaration
5.       Date

On behalf of ______________________________________________________________________, and as a legal representative of the above mentioned company submitting the application on Public Call to technology development companies for membership at the Science Technology Park Belgrade in 2016 (hereinafter “Applicant”), I confirm that:

 

• All data set forth in application documents are true;
• Applicant agrees with the conditions of the Public Call to technology development companies/organizations for membership at the STP Belgrade in 2016;
• Applicant has paid due taxes and other public charges in accordance with laws of the Republic of Serbia or a foreign country if its registered address is in its territory;
• Applicant has not been prohibited from performing economic activity by any measure in force at the time of publishing tender notice and/or call for competition;
• Applicant was not subject of liquidation and bankruptcy proceedings and is not subject of court proceedings;
• Persons having powers of representation, decision making or control of the Applicant, have not been the subject of a judgment for fraud, corruption, involvement in a criminal organization, money laundering or any other legal activity.

 

I declare that Applicant agrees that STP Belgrade can evaluate this application in accordance with the group of criteria set up in this Public Call and based on that to bring the decision about accepting or rejecting the application.
