KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Over the past year, my primary objective was to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of our financial
reporting while providing deeper, actionable insights to our business partners. My most impactful
achievement was overhauling our month-end variance analysis process. Historically, this involved
manually consolidating multiple departmental spreadsheets, which was time-consuming and highly prone
to version-control errors. I rebuilt the workflow using Power Query to automate data extraction directly
from our ERP system. This initiative reduced our month-end reporting turnaround time by two full days,
allowing the FP&A team more time to actually analyze the numbers rather than just compile them.
Additionally, I took the lead on building a dynamic ROI model for our proposed capital expenditures in
Q3. By incorporating sensitivity analysis and multiple revenue scenarios, the model provided the
executive team with a much clearer picture of potential downside risks, ultimately guiding a more
conservative and strategic investment decision.
Finally, I successfully partnered with the marketing department to restructure their budget tracking. By
meeting with their leadership monthly to review spend against the forecast, we were able to proactively
identify a projected overspend early in the quarter and reallocate funds, resulting in the department
finishing the year exactly on target.
