Human Resources Manager
ANNUAL SELF PERFORMANCE REVIEW
KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Over the past review period, my primary focus was modernizing our HR infrastructure and shifting our
department from a purely administrative function to a strategic business partner. My most significant
accomplishment was leading the selection and implementation of our new Human Resources
Information System (HRIS). Previously, our employee data, payroll, and benefits enrollment were siloed
across three different platforms, causing heavy manual data entry and a poor employee experience. I
mapped our core workflows, vetted vendors, and spearheaded the data migration. By successfully
rolling out the unified platform in Q2, we reduced payroll processing time by 30% and empowered
employees with a self-service portal, which drastically cut down on transactional HR inquiries.
Another major initiative I championed was the redesign of our onboarding program. I noticed through
exit interviews that our first-year turnover was disproportionately high, often citing a lack of clarity and
integration. I transitioned our one-day orientation into a comprehensive 90-day onboarding journey,
complete with structured manager check-ins, a peer buddy system, and departmental shadowing. This
structured approach has noticeably improved new hire engagement scores and stabilized our 90-day
retention rate.
Lastly, I successfully navigated several complex employee relations cases this year. By consistently
applying our policies with empathy and ensuring thorough, unbiased documentation, we resolved these
disputes internally while mitigating legal risk to the company.
CORE COMPETENCIES & STRENGTHS
Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution:
I excel at navigating the delicate balance between
advocating for the employee and protecting the organization. When conflicts arise, I prioritize active
listening and root-cause analysis, ensuring that employees feel heard and respected while maintaining
strict compliance with employment law and company policy.
Change Management:
Implementing new policies or software can often cause friction. I have
demonstrated a strong ability to manage organizational change by communicating the "why" behind
decisions clearly, providing adequate training resources, and actively soliciting feedback from frontline
managers to ensure smooth transitions.
