Over the last 12 months, my primary focus was modernizing our user-facing web architecture and
improving overall site performance. My most significant technical achievement was leading the
migration of our core customer dashboard from a legacy jQuery/Bootstrap stack to a modern React/
Next.js framework. By implementing server-side rendering and optimizing our asset delivery, I
successfully improved our Core Web Vitals—specifically reducing Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) by
1.2 seconds and eliminating Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) on mobile devices. These optimizations
directly correlated with a 15% decrease in page bounce rates and a noticeable improvement in our
organic search rankings.
Additionally, I took the initiative to champion digital accessibility (a11y) within the engineering team. I
conducted a comprehensive audit of our primary marketing pages using Lighthouse and Axe,
systematically remediating contrast issues, missing ARIA labels, and keyboard navigation traps. I
then integrated automated accessibility checks into our CI/CD pipeline, ensuring that all future pull
requests meet WCAG 2.1 AA compliance before merging into production.
Frontend Architecture & UI/UX Collaboration:
I excel at bridging the gap between design and
engineering. I possess a strong eye for detail and actively collaborate with the UX team during the
wireframing phase, rather than just waiting for final Figma handoffs. This allows me to flag technical
constraints early and advocate for reusable, modular components that accelerate development time.
Code Quality & Peer Review:
I view code reviews as an opportunity for mutual learning, not just a
quality gate. I am thorough but constructive in my feedback, consistently advocating for DRY (Don't
Repeat Yourself) principles, clean state management, and semantic HTML, which has helped elevate
the overall code quality of our junior developers.
