Product Manager Self Performance Review
ANNUAL PERFORMANCE & GROWTH SELF-ASSESSMENT
Key Accomplishments
This past year was defined by critical product evolutions and a concerted effort to ground our
roadmap in direct customer feedback and quantitative product telemetry. My proudest
achievement was steering the end-to-end redesign of our self-serve onboarding experience.
Recognizing that initial drop-off was impacting customer acquisition efficiency, I partnered closely
with UX research and data analytics to conduct customer journey mapping and identify key
activation bottlenecks. By streamlining the initial setup from seven sequential steps down to three
guided actions and introducing contextual tooltips, we achieved a measurable increase in Day-30
user activation and significantly decreased initial support ticket volume.
Additionally, I led the discovery, definition, and beta launch of our automated reporting
integrations. After conducting over twenty customer discovery interviews, I recognized that mid-
market clients were spending considerable manual effort exporting data to third-party tools.
Working hand-in-hand with engineering, we defined a lean Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and
ran an eight-week beta program with fifteen key enterprise accounts. Gathering qualitative
sentiment and tracking feature adoption allowed us to iterate quickly on permissions and data
export filters before general availability, resulting in high organic adoption during launch week.
Core Competencies & Strengths
Customer Discovery & Data Synthesis:
I pride myself on maintaining continuous proximity to our
users. Whether reviewing session recordings, parsing survey data, or running user interviews, I focus
on identifying underlying root problems rather than taking feature requests at face value. This
customer-centric approach has enabled me to craft clear, problem-focused Product Requirement
Documents (PRDs) that provide the engineering and design teams with unambiguous context and
rationale.
Cross-Functional Prioritization:
Serving as the connective tissue between engineering, marketing,
sales, and executive leadership has been a major strength. I strive to maintain transparent
communication around roadmap trade-offs, regularly sharing why certain initiatives are prioritized
over others and ensuring that business objectives directly align with our sprint commitments.
