Pipeline Management & Forecasting:
I treat my pipeline with extreme rigor. I am diligent
about qualifying out poor-fit leads early in the process to protect my time, and I ensure that
every opportunity in my CRM has a clearly defined next step. By maintaining pristine CRM
hygiene, I ensure that my manager has accurate visibility into my commit and upside forecasts
at all times.
GROWTH AREAS & CHALLENGES
A key challenge I faced this year was a tendency to lean on discounting to accelerate stalled
deals at the end of the quarter. In my eagerness to secure the win and hit my monthly targets,
I occasionally offered pricing concessions earlier in the negotiation phase than was strictly
necessary. I recognize that this practice dilutes our brand value and impacts overall
profitability. To correct this, I am actively working on improving my objection-handling skills,
particularly around price pushback. I am learning to confidently re-anchor the conversation on
the established ROI and leverage non-monetary concessions—such as extended onboarding
support or phased rollouts—before reducing the software price.
FUTURE GOALS
To continue advancing my sales career and increasing my revenue contribution to the
company, I have set the following goals for the upcoming year:
Master Enterprise Deal Structuring:
Complete an advanced negotiation and enterprise
sales methodology course (such as MEDDPICC) by the end of Q2 to better navigate
complex, multi-stakeholder purchasing committees.
Increase Self-Sourced Pipeline:
Generate at least 40% of my total pipeline through my
own outbound prospecting efforts, reducing my reliance on inbound marketing leads and
BDR-set appointments.
Peer Mentorship:
Volunteer to mentor one of our newly hired Business Development
Representatives (BDRs), helping them refine their cold-calling scripts and objection-
handling techniques to prepare them for an eventual closing role.
