KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Over the past year, my primary focus was optimizing the high-volume assembly line (Line 3) and
successfully executing the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase for our updated motor housing
unit. My most significant achievement was leading a week-long Kaizen event on Line 3 to
address a recurring bottleneck at the final testing station. By designing and implementing a new
pneumatic quick-release fixture and restructuring the standard work instructions, I reduced the
cycle time at that station by 22%. This improvement increased our overall daily throughput by
150 units and saved an estimated $45,000 in overtime labor costs across Q3 and Q4.
Additionally, I took ownership of our tooling management system. I noticed an excessive scrap
rate caused by worn CNC cutting tools being used past their operational lifespan. I collaborated
with the production supervisors to implement a strictly scheduled, data-driven tool replacement
program based on spindle hours rather than visual wear, which drove our first-pass yield (FPY)
on machined parts up from 92% to 96.5%.

Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving:
I do not settle for quick band-aid fixes on the
production floor. When a quality defect or machine fault occurs, I rigorously apply the 5 Whys
and Fishbone (Ishikawa) diagram methodologies to isolate the true root cause, ensuring that the
corrective actions we implement are permanent and systemic.
Design for Manufacturability (DFM):
I excel at bridging the gap between R&D and the
production floor. During the NPI phase, I proactively review CAD models in SolidWorks to
identify unnecessarily tight tolerances or geometries that will be difficult to fixture, pushing back
on the design team early to ensure the final product is both cost-effective and scalable to
manufacture.
