with our audience, utilizing that data to inform the following month's content strategy rather than
relying purely on creative intuition.
GROWTH AREAS & CHALLENGES
A notable challenge I faced this year was prioritization and boundary setting. Because my role
intersects with sales, product, and customer service, I often receive urgent, ad-hoc requests for one-off
promotional materials or social posts. In my eagerness to be a supportive, collaborative team player, I
frequently dropped my core strategic projects to fulfill these rapid-fire requests. This reactive
workflow occasionally caused me to fall behind on my deeper analytical reporting and macro-level
planning. I realize that true marketing impact comes from sustained strategy, not just reacting to daily
emergencies. I am actively working on utilizing our project management software more strictly—
requiring stakeholders to submit formal requests with adequate lead time—and blocking out protected
"deep work" hours on my calendar exclusively for campaign planning and data analysis.
FUTURE GOALS
To continue elevating my strategic contributions to the marketing department, I have set the following
goals for the upcoming review cycle:
Master Analytics Platforms:
Complete an advanced certification in Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
by the end of Q2 to better track the user journey from our social and email channels directly
through to website conversion.
Lead a Multichannel Campaign:
Take the lead on the strategic planning and execution of our
upcoming Q3 product feature launch, coordinating the messaging seamlessly across email, social,
and our internal blog.
Improve Presentation Skills:
Actively participate in our monthly departmental reviews by
presenting my own channel metrics and insights, refining my ability to communicate data
narratives directly to leadership.
