KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Over the past year, my primary focus was on increasing our network reliability and
executing the long-overdue transition of our regional branch offices from expensive,
legacy MPLS circuits to a modern SD-WAN architecture. By researching, proposing,
and deploying the SD-WAN solution, we successfully increased bandwidth across all
satellite locations by 300% while simultaneously reducing our monthly
telecommunications OPEX by nearly 18%. I personally oversaw the cutover for all five
branches, ensuring zero unscheduled downtime during business hours.
Additionally, I took the lead on an internal network segmentation project in preparation
for our upcoming compliance audit. I separated our guest Wi-Fi, IoT devices, and core
corporate VLANs, applying strict access control lists (ACLs) to limit lateral movement.
This proactive security measure significantly reduced our vulnerability footprint and was
specifically commended by our external penetration testing team.

Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:
I have a strong aptitude for packet-level analysis
and rapid fault isolation. Whether dealing with a routing loop, DNS misconfiguration, or
an ISP outage, I consistently utilize tools like Wireshark and SolarWinds to quickly
pinpoint the root cause rather than guessing at solutions, minimizing Mean Time to
Resolution (MTTR).
Cross-Departmental Communication:
I understand that network jargon can be
intimidating to non-technical staff. I pride myself on my ability to translate complex
network topologies and outage reports into plain, actionable language for leadership
and end-users, ensuring everyone understands the impact and the remediation
timeline.
