KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Over the past year, my primary focus was on optimizing our inbound freight routing
and reducing unnecessary demurrage and detention charges. My most significant win
was auditing our Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) carrier network. By analyzing six months of
shipping data, I identified that we were severely overpaying on regional lanes. I
successfully negotiated new tariffs with two local carriers, reducing our regional LTL
spend by 14% without compromising transit times.
Additionally, I tackled the recurring issue of detention fees at our main distribution
center. I implemented a new appointment scheduling protocol in collaboration with the
warehouse manager, ensuring carriers had dedicated dock doors upon arrival. This
simple workflow change reduced our monthly detention penalties by over $4,000 and
improved our relationship with core carriers.

I believe that logistics is a relationship business. I
maintain open, daily communication with dispatchers and drivers. Treating them as
partners rather than just vendors has proven invaluable; during the Q3 capacity crunch,
our core carriers prioritized our loads because of the mutual respect and efficient
turnaround times we provide at our docks.
Attention to Documentation:
I excel in the details of shipping compliance. Whether it
is verifying bill of lading (BOL) accuracy, preparing customs declarations for cross-
border freight, or ensuring dangerous goods paperwork is flawless, I pride myself on
maintaining a near-zero error rate in compliance documentation.
