MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
A N N U A L S E L F - P E R F O R M A N C E R E V I E W
KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Over the past year, my primary focus was reducing unplanned equipment downtime on the main
production floor and overhauling our preventative maintenance (PM) schedules. My most
significant win was rebuilding the hydraulic pump system on Line 4 in-house. When the primary
pump failed in Q2, the OEM quoted a 3-week lead time for a replacement assembly. By
sourcing individual seals and bearings locally and rebuilding the unit over the weekend, I got the
line back up and running in 48 hours, saving the company over $15,000 in parts and minimizing
production losses.
Additionally, I took ownership of our new Computerized Maintenance Management System
(CMMS). I physically audited and tagged over 300 pieces of facility equipment, entering their
baseline data and creating automated work-order triggers for monthly lubrication and filter
changes. This proactive approach helped reduce emergency breakdown calls by 22% in the
second half of the year.
CORE COMPETENCIES & STRENGTHS
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:
I have a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Whether
diagnosing a faulty sensor on a pneumatic conveyor or tracing a ground fault in a 480V motor
control cabinet, I rely on schematics, multimeters, and systematic isolation rather than just
"parts swapping."
Safety & LOTO Compliance:
I treat safety as a non-negotiable standard. I strictly adhere to
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and actively intervene if I see a colleague or operator
bypassing a machine guard. I also led two tool-box talks this year on proper rigging and lifting
techniques, resulting in zero recordable safety incidents on my shifts.
